Stephen Mullarkey aka 'Salook' is an evolving self-styled musical artist hailing from the sleepy kingdom of Fife in Scotland. Growing up in a household of music lovers; Stephen developed an eclectic taste in music at a young age ranging from Jazz, Psychedelic Rock, World, Reggae, Dub and underground Electronic Music.

Taking a keen interest in the Arts throughout his early years he achieved grades for singing and inventing, when his music teacher told him he had originality there was no going back on the creative journey that lay ahead.

Keeping his musical hobbies close during his working years, Stephen took time out from his skilled trade as a butcher and applied for college where he achieved a diploma for music production and sound engineering, working with industry standard software in a studio environment gave him the tools and confidence to move on creatively.

Soon after establishing an online presence with his music under the artist name 'Salook', he released on independent labels such as 'Outtallectuals', 'Bushmen Records' and currently 'Big Wave Records' for his solo and collaboration projects - and now joins a new generation of independent artists pushing the creative boundaries.

Collaboration projects include 'The Shimmer Effect' with Sjanine Steyn and 'Dub Bred' with Justin Belt.
